REIKI (pronounced Ray Key) is a Japanese word: REI meaning Universal and Ki meaning life force energy. Reiki is a way of channelling the body's life force energy to address not only physical disorders, but also to open the mind to the causes of disease and pain.

Reiki is not a religion, the use of Reiki energy can be traced back thousands of years, spanning many diverse cultures and civilisations. It was reintroduced in its present form in the late 19th century after many years of dedicated research by Dr Mikao Usui; a Japanese Christian educator. The traditions of Reiki have been passed down over the years from teacher to student, and have since spread worldwide. A teacher of Reiki, who is qualified to attune others, is known as a Reiki Master.

Reiki flows through every living thing, since it is our life force. This energy or 'ki', as it is known in Japan, has been recognised in the East for centuries as being vital to our health and wellbeing. When our Life Force energy is flowing freely, we feel happy, uplifted and healthy. When our energy is low or becomes blocked, we become more prone to stress, depression and illness.

Reiki Level 1 Course

This Reiki course includes an introduction to the human energy field and the chakras, which will give you first-hand understanding of the subtle bodies.

You will receive an authentic, individual Reiki Level 1 attunement. This is an energy transmission that enables you to “channel” the Reiki healing energy. It will be given to you by Sophie.

You will hear the story of Mikao Usui’s quest for this powerful healing energy, which you will begin to use during the hands-on practice session.

On the first day you will learn;

• what Reiki is, its history, how it was discovered and how it came to the West

• what and where the chakras are and how to work with them

• the foundations and guidelines for Energy Healing

• insights into the nature of disease, why people get ill and how they can heal

• Reiki breathing and visualisation, feeling the Reiki energy

• what a Reiki attunement (“Reiju” in Japanese) is and what it does.

On the second day, there will be lots of practicing and you will learn;

• the hand positions for giving others a Reiki treatment and for self-healing

• the structure of a healing session, how to prepare the space, yourself and the receiver

• sensing the different chakras and using the Reiki Chakra Balancing Technique

• how to use Reiki for healing pets, growing plants and energising your food

• the benefits of Reiki and how it complements other therapies.

The course fee includes an internationally recognised certificate, a comprehensive course manual, and lifelong support after the course via email or telephone.

There should be a gap of 6 months between the 1st Degree Reiki and 2nd Degree.

Reiki Level 2 Course

During the course of this day, you will receive an authentic, individual Reiki Level 2 attunement. This is an energy transmission, which Sophie will give to you.

Highlights of Reiki Level 2 are;

• The initiation into the three sacred Reiki Level 2 symbols.

• The Reiki Level 2 attunement, which will significantly increase your personal energy.

• Distance Healing across space and time, allowing you to heal your past, prepare for the future and help others even when far away.

• Techniques for automatic and multiple healing, enabling you to send Reiki to recurring events and to a number of receivers at the same time.

• Scientific background for the Level 2 techniques.

• Giving each other a Reiki treatment using the symbols.

• Plenty of practice.

• Aspects of the professional practice, keeping treatment records, insurance, choice of treatment space, code of ethics.

The Reiki Level 2 course further enhances and refines your ability to work with Reiki. The Distance Healing technique is an invaluable tool for helping people when you can’t be physically with them.

There should be a gap of at least 12 months between Reiki 2nd Degree and the Master/Teachers course.

Reiki Master Level Course

This is the advanced Master plus Teacher level.  After having completed the Reiki Level 2 training, you can seize the opportunity to train to the Master & Teacher level in the Usui Method of Natural Healing. This level will significantly increase your personal energy as well as enabling you to initiate others into Reiki.

The highlights of the Reiki Master & Teacher course include;
